Summer Explore

A two week adventure in problem solving and investigating special topics in advanced mathematics.

Sessions for Summer Explore 2010 have been canceled due to minimum enrollment deadline.  Thank you for your interest, please check back again next year for Summer Explore 2011.

Students will be actively investigating topics in mathematics using hands on manipulatives and solving interesting problems using problem solving techniques that are used by experienced mathematicians.

Students will learn problem solving techniques that will help them through high school courses and beyond.  They will explore topics from college level and graduate level math courses.  Topics will be presented at a conceptual level, geared to inspire students to continue exploring topics in math outside of the typical middle and high school curriculum.

Course designed and led by Lynbrook High School AP Calculus teacher Jeremy Dybdahl. Jeremy earned his Master of Arts of Teaching in Mathematics from UC Davis and has seven years of teaching experience.

The application process online is secure and all information is safe and confidential.
